Revolade tablet is a prescription medicine. It belongs to a class of medications called thrombopoietin receptor agonists. It is used to treat low platelet count due to chronic immune thrombocytopenic purpura or chronic hepatitis c virus infection. It is also used to treat severe aplastic anaemia. This tablet is used to increase the number of platelets to decrease the risk of bleeding in adults

Babies: Not applicable
Lactating mothers: Revolade tablet is unsafe to use during breastfeeding.
This medicine may pass into breast milk and harm the baby.
Pregnancy: Revolade tablet is unsafe to use during pregnancy, as this medicine shows harmful effects on the developing baby.
Driving: Revolade tablet is dangerous to use while driving, as this medicine can make you dizzy and have other side effects that make you less alert.
These side effects could affect your ability to drive.
Alcohol: It is not known whether it is safe to consume alcohol with an revolade tablet.

Kidney: Revolade tablet is safe to use in patients with kidney disease.
No dose adjustment of revolade tablet is recommended.
Regular monitoring of kidney function tests may be advisable while you are taking this tablet.
Liver: Revolade tablet should be used with caution in patients with liver disease.
Dose adjustment of revolade tablet may be needed.

Revolade tablet is a thrombopoietin agonist.
It works by stimulating the formation of new platelets in the blood.
Platelets help to reduce or prevent bleeding.

If you miss a dose, take it as soon as possible.
If it is near the time of the next dose, then skip the missed dose.
Take the prescribed dose on your regular time daily.
Don't double the dose to catch up with the missed dose..
• Take revolade tablet on an empty stomach, either 1 hour before or 2 hours after meals.
• Take revolade tablet at least 2 hours before or 4 hours after eating dairy products and calcium-fortified juices.
• Instruct the patients to report symptoms of hepatotoxicity.
• Tell the patients to report symptoms of thrombotic or thromboembolic complications.

Contraindicated
• Revolade + Elagolix: Concurrent use of elagolix and revolade may result in increased elagolix exposure.
• Revolade + Grazoprevir: Concurrent use of grazoprevir with revolade may result in increased grazoprevir plasma concentrations and increased risk of alt elevations.
Major
• Revolade + Simvastatin: Concurrent use of revolade and simvastatin may result in increased simvastatin plasma concentrations and may increase the risk of myopathy.
• Revolade + Topotecan: Concurrent use of revolade and topotecan may increase exposure and adverse events.
Moderate
• Revolade + Ezetimibe: Concurrent use of revolade and ezetimibe may result in increased exposure of ezetimibe.
• Revolade + Rifampin: Concurrent use of revolade and rifampin may result in increased exposure of the rifampin.
