Brufen-jr syrup is a combination of 2 painkiller medicines used to treat pain, fever and inflammation. It is also used to treat headaches, muscle pain, pain during periods, toothache and joint pain. It works by inhibiting the release of certain chemical messengers that cause fever, pain and inflammation (redness and swelling). You are advised to take this medicine as prescribed by your doctor.

Babies: Safe to use when taken as prescribed by your doctor.
Lactating mothers: Brufen-jr syrup is safe to use during breastfeeding.

Pregnancy: Brufen-jr syrup is not recommended during the last 3 months of pregnancy.
It may harm the unborn baby.
Driving: Brufen-jr syrup may notice dizziness, sleepiness, drowsiness or fatigue as it contains paracetamol which causes sedation.
Do not drive if these symptoms occur.
Alcohol: Avoid consumption of alcohol while taking brufen-jr syrup as it may cause dizziness and liver damage.
Kidney: Brufen-jr syrup should be used in caution with patients suffering from kidney disease.
Dosage adjustment is required, and regular monitoring of kidney function may be required.

If you miss a dose, take it as soon as possible.
If it is near the time of the next dose, then skip the missed dose.
Take the prescribed dose on your regular time daily.
Don't double the dose to catch up with the missed dose..
• You have been prescribed this combination medicine to relieve pain, inflammation, and fever • Take it with food to avoid getting an upset stomach • Take it as per the dose and duration prescribed by your doctor. Long-term use may lead to stomach bleeding and kidney problems • Avoid consuming alcohol when taking brufen-jr syrup as it may cause excessive drowsiness and increase the risk of liver damage • Do not take it with any other medicine containing paracetamol (drugs for pain/fever or cough and cold) without asking your doctor first.
• Brufen-jr + Acetylsalicylic acid: Concurrent use may decrease the antiplatelet activities of acetylsalicylic acid • Brufen-jr + Acyclovir: Concurrent use may decrease the excretion of acyclovir • Brufen-jr + Ceftriaxone: Concurrent use may increase the risk or severity of nephrotoxicity • Brufen-jr + Dapsone: Concurrent use may decrease the metabolism of brufen-jr • Brufen-jr + Fluconazole: Concurrent use may decrease the metabolism of brufen-jr • Brufen-jr + Furosemide: Concurrent use may decrease the therapeutic efficacy of furosemide • Brufen-jr + Warfarin: Concurrent use may decrease the metabolism of warfarin • Brufen-jr + Topiramate: Concurrent use may decrease the excretion of topiramate • Brufen-jr + Urokinase: Concurrent use may increase the risk or severity of angioedema • Brufen-jr + Valproic acid: Concurrent use may decrease the protein binding of valproic acid .
